Two meth lab investigations on going in Henderson

HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE) -

Henderson County Sheriff's Deputies have located two meth labs in the southern part of the county during the past two weeks.

Deputies say on Monday, July 9, they were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a residence in 5500 block of Highway 41-A when they found a meth lab.  Officials say at least two subjects apparently ran our into a cornfield near the residence. They say that one suspect ran out of his shoes and dropped some components to manufacture the drug.

With a search warrant, deputies searched the residence and located a five gallon plastic gas can that contained suspected anhydrous ammonia and other items to manufacture meth.

Another lab was found on Monday, July 16, Sheriffs were called to the 3900 section of Old Madisonville Road where a work crew located a suspicious Nike black nylon bag sitting on the edge of a cornfield near the roadway. During the investigation, authorities say they found items used to make meth.
