A man will be charged in Evansville after he leaves the hospital Friday night.
Police say he got into a fight with his ex's current fiance in the 1500 block of John Street.
Officers say both men stabbed each other. The suspect was stabbed in the neck while the victim was stabbed in the chest.
"I think what we have here is a current boyfriend and an ex boyfriend who showed up. Some kind of argument happened after that and then the fight started," said EPD Sgt. Larry Nelson.
The suspect they say, then possibly hit the victim with his car, and then drove to the hospital for treatment.
"I'm worried about my fiance. I watched him run him over with the car. I had to pull him out from under there," recalled the fiance of the victim.
The victim's injuries are not life threatening. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The incident reportedly occurred when the ex-boyfriend of a woman showed up and found her with her current boyfriend.
