The community of Francisco is coming together to raise money for the family of Diana Mayo.
The 23-year-old, and her 16-month old daughter, Nakia, were killed Wednesday, when their car flipped into a Gibson County ditch.
Friends of the family are holding a fundraiser tomorrow evening to help raise money for funeral and other expenses.
There will be a concert put on by the band Earth Mother, along with food and drinks, and they hope to raise anywhere from a couple hundred to a couple thousand dollars.
We spoke with one of the band members who knew the family.
"Diana, Sean, & Nakia would always come over later on in the evenings when we were playing and they were really our biggest fans and little Nakia, she just loved our music. She'd sit over there, she'd be dancing in the corner all the time. We're going to entertain. We're going to try to make things better for them," said band member Cody Lloyd.
The fundraiser begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Francisco little league park.
