HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) -

If you're looking to make a difference in a child's life, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Henderson County says they need your help.

They say they have a lot of interested little siblings and now they're looking for more adult mentors.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Henderson County says they opened their office in September 2011. They say right now, they have 37 Big and Little siblings matched up, and will have two more by the end of the week.

Case manager Mollie Hobbs says the adult mentors play an important role in a child's life, meeting with them once a week for activities or outings.

Hobbs tells us, right now, 65 children have already applied and the organization needs at least 50 adult volunteers to meet that need.

"Anyone from 18 and older, it doesn't matter race, religion, sexual orientation. We do not judge. As long as we can make sure that they are a safe person for a child to be around and be a good mentor, then we are more than happy to have them," Hobbs said.
