Kentucky Tri-State Bike Rally kicks off in Union County

If you've seen more motorcycles around the Tri-State this week, it may be because they're on their way to the Kentucky Bike Rally in Union County. The annual event kicks off Thursday, July 19th and organizers are gearing up for the action.

The bike rally has plenty of action in store and organizers expect somewhere around 15,000 people to come out over the next four days.

It's held at the Union County Fairgrounds in Sturgis, Kentucky.

Some of the featured events include live concerts, a burnout contest, games, and plenty of food and drinks.

The rally also gives riders a chance to show off their rides through a bike show on Saturday.

There's over 20 different categories that will be voted on including best graphics, top sport bike, and the motorcycle with the best paint.

All contestants are welcome and it's $10 to enter with a trophy and bragging rights on the line.

This event brings people from all over the Tri-State and even a wide range of folks from other parts of the country.

Gates open at 11 Thursday morning and it goes through this Sunday. You can get a weekend pass for $30 or if you're just planning on coming for the main event on Saturday, that will cost you $20.
