One of the men stabbed near the river last week is speaking out about Monday's arrest.
The victim, Timothy Whitten, says he was sleeping on the riverfront stairs last week, and that's when he says someone came up and stabbed him and his friend in the neck.
Whitten says neither of them caught a good glimpse of their attacker before they began running in opposite directions.
Whitten says he ran to Casino Aztar where he was taken to the hospital. He received more than a dozen staples for the nearly four inch slash to his throat.
Whitten says that he is no longer sleeping on the streets and is staying at a shelter, and waiting to hear if Brian Powers will face charges for his stabbing.
