EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Local authorities say 39-year-old Rebecca Kratzer, who was believed to be in danger Monday afternoon has been found. They say she and the man she was with, Scott Chappell are both in custody.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says a tip led to the arrests at the Buena Vista Apartments where both were wanted on outstanding warrants.

The sheriff's office tells 14 News that Kratzer is physically okay. Authorities described Chappell as a registered sex offender and that witnesses reported Krazter did not go willingly with him.

On July 12 around 2:00 p.m., Kratzer was last seen leaving the area of Virginia and Governor, and she was with Chappell.  Sources say Chappell and Kratzer were dating.

Chappell is a registered sex offender. He has charges pending with the VCSD. Chappell has previous arrests/convictions for rape and criminal deviate conduct.
