EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Fire investigators are looking into a suspicious fire in Evansville.

Firefighters say a vacant apartment building on Columbia Street caught fire at about midnight, and was contained about 45 minutes later.

Investigators say it is possible the fire was the result of arson, since the fire spread throughout the building unusually fast.

"The neighbors were talking about the amount of fire that showed quickly on our arrival. So, it's a little suspicious but nothing confirmed yet," said EFD District Chief Tim Krack.

Firefighters say no one was injured.
