Good news Friday night out of Daviess County, Kentucky.
The Daviess County East Fire Department took home the gold in the Daviess County Fair's Firefighters Competition.
The competition involves the four man team taking a hose up stairs, a forced entry, then another team member has to drag a hose and shoot a softball off a cone to demonstrate accuracy.
It ends with dragging a mannequin to safety, all this while carrying 75 pounds of gear.
"We train for the situations we're going to be put in every day and that's the main goal and purpose of doing these trainings and doing these agilities together and against each other is to keep the motivation to continue to grow in strength and offer the community the best service you can," said firefighter Jacob Cox.
