Two drivers were taken to the hospital following an accident at St. Joseph and Diamond Avenue Friday afternoon.
Witnesses reportedly told EPD that a mother and her young son were headed eastbound on Diamond Avenue when a car turned into the path of their van, causing the collision. The accident occurred just after 1:30 p.m.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital for complaints of pain. The boy was reportedly unharmed in the accident.
Northbound St. Joseph Avenue will remained closed until it can be cleared. Officials expect it the scene to be cleaned up by 3:00 p.m.
