Warrick County Deputies working a Drug Interdiction detail arrested three Boonville residents for a Mobile Meth Lab.

On Thursday afternoon Warrick County Deputies stopped a Blue Ford pick-up truck on Vann Road next to Castle High School. They say the truck jumped a curb in the construction zone and drove around traffic that was stopped for the Traffic Control Light. Upon investigation of the occupants and vehicle, the deputies discovered several items used in the Clandestine Manufacture of Methamphetamine.

The arrested three people at the scene; the driver of the Ford pick-up 41-year-old Gene Wriston, and two passengers 42-year-old Michael Hemmings of Autumn Drive Boonville, and 46-year-old Sherry Garrett all of Boonville.

The deputies discovered a Clandestine Meth Lab in the bed of the pick-up truck and it was dismantled at the scene. The intersection of Vann and Casey Roads was closed for close to an hour while the hazard was eliminated.

All three suspects were arrested and preliminarily charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school, (Class A Felony)

Possession of Precursors with intent to manufacture Methamphetamine (Class D Felony), and Possession of Methamphetamine within 1000 feet of a school (Class B Felony). At the time of the arrests there were school age children on the track at the school.

On Thursday, deputies made a total of nine drug related arrests. Both Chandler and Newburgh Police departments were involved in the investigations during different times of the day. The Sheriff's Office regularly works hand in hand with the local police departments utilizing both manpower and resources as effectively as possible.
