OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

In Owensboro, folks enjoying frozen yogurt are also helping to battle crime.

A portion of the sales at Owensboro's Orange Leaf Thursday will go to Crimestoppers.

Orange Leaf Owner Roger Ellis says the company takes part in a lot of fund raisers for non-profit organizations.

"They're out there working hard in this heat and everything and they're putting their lives at danger and we're glad to help them with anything we can do. Hopefully they can put the money to good use to help fight crime here in Owensboro," Ellis said.

Orange Leaf is open until 11:00 p.m. Thursday night. It's located off Frederica Street across from the mall.
