Judges will pick winners based on things like creativity, texture, flavor and presentation.
"Cupcakes are just a big phenomena right now. You can see them all on the Food Network, all the different shows that are doing with that and there's contests and things so we just thought it would be fun time to offer a contest like that and see what happens, see what kind of interest we got and it's an opportunity for people to show their creativity," said the Extension Educator with the Purdue Extension Susan Plassmeier.
Pre-registration for the Battle of the CupCakes is going on now through Monday.
