David and Dan Nix, the owners of Evansville area Pizza King restaurants, have announced the closing of the location at 2411 N. Stringtown Road, Evansville.
It closed its doors for the final time on Saturday night.
David Nix says, "The sales volume at this location did not maintain our expectations. Our lease of the building is expiring, and it just makes sense to close now."
He goes on to say this is an isolated incident, "All other Pizza King location are profitable and doing well. We are adding lunch deliveries at our two other Evansville locations, starting at 11 A.M. and extending through closing time. We are also expanding our delivery areas for these two locations."
David and Dan Nix own and operate Western Ribeye and Ribs Restaurants on North Boeke Road in Evansville, and the Pizza King locations on South Weinbach, North St. Joe Avenue, and the intersection of the Lloyd Expressway and Highway 261.
