A cold front will finally bring some relief to the tri-state this week, but our historic heat wave won't soon be forgotten.
The statistics are really remarkable. The last 25 days in a row have had above normal high temperatures and most days were well above average. 10 of the last 11 days had highs above 100 degrees, including 2 days of 107 degrees. We also set 8 record highs since June 28th, plus we shattered the old all-time record high for June, which had been 104.
Of course, we weren't alone as thousands of record highs were set nationwide in the last two weeks.
