The 2012 City Swim Meet is happening this weekend at Garvin Park Pool.
The Department of Parks and Recreation say that all neighborhood pools, with the exception of Rochelle-Landers, will be closed both Saturday and Sunday in
order for staff to help out with the swim meet.
Rochelle-Landers will be open
normal business hours from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and noon to
8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The preliminaries for the
City Meet will started at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and the finals will start at 10:00
a.m. on Sunday.
The Parks Department say there are close to 600
participating in the City Swim Meet ranging in age from 4 to 65 plus.
They urge everyone to come out and root for
their favorite team.
