EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

This July there will be a golf outing to raise money for a scholarship named after Nick Imes.

Some of you might recognize his name.

Imes was an Evansville native killed in a car accident about a year ago. The golf outing is set for July 21st at the Cambridge Golf Course.

Organizers encourage you to sign up soon.

Nick was born and raised in Evansville and a graduate of Bosse High and the University of Southern Indiana. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta.

The scholarship will provide assistance to future Phi Delta Theta members in the Evansville chapter.

You can sign up to play as an individual for $65. A foursome can play for $300.

If you can't play, but would like to contribute, you can sponsor a hole for $100.

Prizes will be awarded to those who win first and second place and also for those who come in last.

A Hawaiian vacation is the grand prize, organizers say you could win that if you get a hole in one.

Registration and lunch start at 11 on July 21st, with tee off at 12:30 p.m.
