The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation are teaming up to help grow business leaders in the area through program called "Emerge Owensboro."
The deadline for this workshop is quickly approaching. The last day to register for Emerge Owensboro is Monday.
This program really encourages local business leaders to put their talents to good use to help improve the community and themselves.
Participants will discuss local issues and develop abilities to overcome them.
There will be half-day and full-day sessions going over education, the local economy, human needs and services, local and state even government and healthcare, but it's a really hands on class.
Members will even be required to attend city and county commission meetings and local school board meetings and take a trip to Frankfort next year.
Applications are due by Monday, July 9 and class notification will be made by August 10.
The tuition is $450.
