A 16-year old Evansville girl, initially accused in the murder of a homeless man with three others, is facing no charges Thursday night.
Vanderburgh County Prosecutors say the girl was not charged during a formal hearing Thursday, because the evidence didn't support it.
Three others, 18-year-old William Jeffery Hurt, 19-year-old Deadra Lee Hurt, and 16-year-old Harley Wade were formally charged.
The three are accused of beating and strangling to death 54-year-old Marcus Golike, who's body was found in the Ohio River last month.
"The evidence so far is that the males are responsible for inflicting physical harm that resulted in the death. That is a horrible event that Mr. Golicke would be killed by these people that he knew," said Vanderburgh Co. Deputy Prosecutor Malcolm Gwinn.
The three teens are now formally charged with murder, obstruction of justice and robbery.
The Prosecutors Office says additional charges could be filed.
