Undercover buys result in drug trafficking arrest

OWENSBORO, KY (WFIE) -

On Tuesday night,  around 8:45, detectives with the Owensboro Police Department Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a home in the 800 block of George Street.

They say they have recently made undercover buys of Methamphetamine from the homeowner.

The detectives found approximately 69 grams of suspected Methamphetamine and several items used to weigh, package, and ingest the illegal substance.

Authorities say these items are indicative of an ongoing Methamphetamine trafficking operation.

The homeowner, 41-year-old James G. Howard Jr. faces three felony counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, possessing of drug paraphernalia, illegal Possession of a legend drug, and possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified).

He is behind bars at the Daviess County Detention Center.
