On Wednesday morning, families gathered to celebrate the fourth at Mesker Park Zoo with a wagon and stroller parade.
Kids and their parents decorated wagon and stroller floats and competed in two categories, 'patriotic' and 'animal-themed.'
They paraded through the zoo led by drums from the Boom Squad. Organizers say the event is a great way to bring families together.
"The zoo encourages family bonding, and if we have something for the families to do on holidays, that will keep the families together in the morning of the holiday. They can just come out and have fun," said Charlotte Roesner, the zoo's marketing director.
The zoo says they plan to make the parade an annual event.
