String of record highs falls in the tri-state

Through Sunday, the tri-state has hit four record highs in a row and we could see more records fall this week as steamy weather continues.

Last Thursday we hit a high of 107, beating the old record of 102 from 1936. We repeated that high on Friday beating a record of 103 from 1952.

Of course, the weekend was nearly as hot with a record high of 106 on Saturday, smashing the old record of 100 from 1952. Sunday we hit 105, beating the 1933 record of 101.

Most impressive was the all-time June record high, which had been 104 from June 26th, 1954. We beat that by 3 degrees both Thursday and Friday.
