Emergency Evacuation Shelter opens in Knox Co. in the midst of storms

KNOX CO, IN (WFIE) -

The Wabash Valley Communique is reporting that an Emergency Evacuation Sheltering is currently being established at the National Guard Armory, in Vincennes, for affected Knox County residents.

The Vincennes Township Fire Department responded to the scene of Building 6 at Autumn Ridge Apartments, on Niblack Road, where they had to evacuate Residents. The roof has reportedly been ripped completely off.

Vincennes is also experiencing wide-spread power outages. The EMA office is currently at Level III activation

Numerous trees and power lines are reportedly down all over Vincennes. It is being reported that there are more than 6,000 people are without power in Knox Co.
