Owensboro Police say four kids, between the ages of 9 and 12 beat and tortured a 5-week-old kitten to death.
The four have been charged with one count each of torture of a cat with serious physical injury or Death, a Class D Felony.
We warn you the details of this case may be disturbing to some viewers.
Police say they beat and spray painted the kitten, and threw it into a swimming pool. They then tried to light the kitten on fire and throw it by its tail up onto a roof.
All four live in the area where this took place.
The kids have been released to their parents, and, authorities tell us court sentencing could vary.
