Hammond, IN police searching for one-year-old boy

HAMMOND, IN (WFIE) -

The Hammond Police Department is investigating a case involving a missing child.

One-year-old Jamari Deshawn Strong was last seen at 2:45 p.m. EST at 4218 Calumet Avenue in Hammond.

Jamari is described as having brown eyes and brown hair in braids.  He is believed to be in extreme danger.

The Hammond Police Department believe that Jamari was abducted by a black male and a black female going by the names of Darrell and Renee respectively.

The suspects fled the scene in a maroon 2002 Pontiac Grand Am with an IL license plate, number P708343, which is believed to be headed towards Chicago, IL.
