WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

A police report from the Warrick County Sheriff's Office indicates that alcohol may have been a factor in a crash involving six teenagers.

The crash happened Tuesday night around 11.

Deputies say a 17-year-old was driving a Jeep on Baker Road near Trails End Rd. when he lost control, went into a ditch and flipped.

The driver was semi-conscious when deputies arrived. One deputy wrote in the accident report that he could smell a strong odor of "an alcoholic beverage" coming from the driver.

The five passengers managed to get out of the SUV after the crash. Several of them complained of injuries. One of the boys told deputies he couldn't feel his legs; a female passenger complained about not feeling her legs.

Deputies noted that several open and unopened beer cans were inside and outside of the SUV.

One of the passengers told deputies that no one in the Jeep was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The father of one of teens called the 14 Newsroom saying that his son was buckled up in, saying that several of the teen's injuries were the result of seatbelt use.

According to sources, after testing, the two teens in the front of the vehicle tested negative for drugs and alcohol, while the teens in the back of the vehicle tested positive.
