In Hopkins county, a man is facing rape charges involving a toddler.
The Madisonville Police department arrested 32-year old Joshua E. Gipson.
He's accused of raping and abusing a 2-year-old girl. Police say emergency room staff told them the young victim was badly beaten, bruised and suffered severe injuries from being raped.
Gipson plead not guilty during Wednesday's arraignment.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday morning.
