Standoff turns into search for Warrick Co. man

Posted: Updated:
WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

Authorities in Warrick County are still looking for a man who fired shots at an apartment last night.

What started as a standoff early Saturday evening turned into a search for a Tri-State man.

Units from ISP and Warrick County Sheriff's office responded to a "domestic situation." They were told 39 year-old John Bruce fired shots at the apartment.

Authorities were trying to talk to Bruce. They were outside his apartment over a barn near Pelzer and Mt. Gilead in Boonville.

At some point during the standoff, Bruce left his home and fled the scene.  Negotiators say the man could be a danger to himself. At last check authorities were still searching the area for the man.
