MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) -
A South Carolina man was arrested in Madisonville Friday afternoon after police say he waved a gun at his daughter, granddaughter and her father.
Madisonville Police responded to a disturbance at Madisonville City Park around 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Robert Redfield, 46, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, reportedly drove his daughter, Jordin L. Faulk from South Carolina to Madisonville to take custody of her 4-year-old daughter.
The young girl and her father, 28-year-old Michael Faulk, were at the pool located in the Madisonville City Park.
When Jordin reportedly tried to take her daughter from the pool, Michael intervened in an attempt to keep her from leaving the scene.
Reports indicate that Redfield then physically detained Michael, resulting in a scuffle.
As the altercation ended, Redfield reportedly brandished a hand gun in the direction of a vehicle in which Michael, Jordin and their daughter were in.
Police arrived on scene shortly after, arresting Redfield.
Redfield has been charged with three counts of Wanton Endangerment and one count of Custodial Interference. Additional charges are pending.
