CORYDON, KENTUCKY (WFIE) -

The former sewer clerk in Corydon, Kentucky is sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to theft of city funds.

Attorney General Jack Conway says a January 2011 audit led to the arrest of 48-year old Melissa Clark. Authorities say the audit found tens of thousands of dollars in receipts had not been deposited into the city's bank accounts.

Investigators say Clark was writing checks to petty cash or to herself and depositing them into her personal account.
