EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

One Evansville restaurant has a new feathered-friend living outside.

It's a momma duck who has laid her eggs outside the G. D. Ritzy's Restaurant on First Avenue.

Workers say she and her eggs have been there for days and the duck gets a little upset if anyone gets too close.

"It's been a couple weeks ago we found the eggs out there. In a matter of time somebody put an umbrella and we been giving it food and water. It's our mascot now," said Bonnie Bryan, manager at G.D. Ritzy's.

Workers say when the ducklings hatch, they'll make sure the family gets safely away from their busy parking lot.
