Motorcycle driver injured when he strikes a deer

On Saturday, a Kentucky man was injured when a deer walked in front of his motorcycle.

Driver Clay Widdifield was traveling northbound on State Route 657 on a motorcycle when a deer entered the roadway.  Widdifield was unable to avoid a collision and struck the deer. 

After hitting the deer, Widdifield slid approximately 250 feet before coming to final rest in a ditch.

Widdifield was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was transported by Hancock County Ambulance to Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, where he was treated for minor injuries.
