OAKLAND CITY, IN (WFIE) -

A very special birthday celebrated in Oakland city Friday. Ophia Miller turns 105 years old.

Surrounded by her friends and family at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Ophia listened as they sang and even had a big cake.

She was honored last Saturday at an Oakland City High School alumni dinner.

Friday, they released balloons to spread the news about her birthday. Her oldest daughter Donna Huff remembers she loved to sing.

"She always used to sing when she was younger 'How much is that doggie in the window.' She sang a lot because she remembers. If she thinks about it long enough, it comes back to her. Everything that happened in the past," Donna said.

Ophia was recently accepted as an honorary member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority, they raise money for cancer research. And you guessed it, she is their oldest member.
