Preparations are well underway for the annual Jehovah's Witness District Conventions in Evansville.

Things kicks off Friday morning. The big difference this year is the move from Roberts Stadium to the Ford Center.

About 4,500 people from Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky are expected to attend over two weekends.

"We're so delighted to be here, it's a beautiful facility. We're receiving a lot of cooperation from the city, it seems like everyone's going out of their way to make things as good for us as possible. So we really appreciate that and we just don't anticipate any problems whatsoever," said News Services Coordinator Keith Herrenbruck.

The first convention runs from Friday through Sunday, and then again at the same times next weekend.
