State Police seize and destroy nearly $50,000 of marijuana

Indiana State Police discovered 51 marijuana plants Thursday afternoon while flying over an open field near Degonia Springs. 

ISP says the plants were approximately four feet tall and would have had a street value of nearly $50,000. 

The plants were destroyed and no arrests were made, according to police.
