6-year-old taken to hospital after hit by ATV

MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

A 6-year-old boy from Greenville, Kentucky is recovering at Kosair's Children's Hospital after he was hit by an ATV.

Greenville Police tell 14 News it happened on Joyce Avenue Tuesday night just after 8:00 p.m.

They arrested 29-year-old Brandon S. Foster in connection with the case. They say Foster left his 2-year-old child at home, unattended, and was riding his four wheeler around the neighborhood when he hit the 6-year-old and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for severe injuries and later flown to Kosair's. His condition is unknown.

Foster was arrested and charged with operating an ATV on the roadway, leaving the scene of an accident, wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of minor, along with several other charges.
