HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

Three people are charged in connection with concession stand thefts in Hopkins and Webster counties.

Deputies say $3,000 worth of property was stolen from Hanson Hunter Field, the YAA Sports Complex, Elmer Kelley Stadium, and concession stands in Dawson Springs and Sebree.

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Cameron Clark of Slaughters, charging him with five counts of burglary and unlawful transaction with a minor.

A 16 and 17 year old from Slaughters are also facing charges in the thefts.

"They threw most of the candy away in the woods. They left it in a nice pile for us so other than the fact that it was just the thrill of the steal. You know, I asked them that same question and they were like, 'We don't know, we were bored. It was something for us to do,' and they did it," said Deputy Scott Troutman with Hopkins County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies don't believe there is anyone else connected to these crimes.
