GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

A man has died from injuries suffered in a Tuesday morning wreck.

It happened on State Road 64 between Francisco and Oakland City in Gibson County. Sheriff George Ballard tells 14 News a two car crash happened between Peabody coal and the new I-69 overpass. He told our reporter headed to the scene "it's pretty bad".

The wreck involved a 2005 Hyundai driven by 33-year-old Timothy K. Stephens, Jr, of Evansville. The Sheriff's office says the vehicle driven by Stephens veered across the center line, sideswiping a 2009 International Tri-axel driven by 46-year-old David McKeon of Elberfeld.

Stephens was taken to Gibson General Hospital in critical condition.  Late this afternoon we received word that he passed away.

McKeon was transported to Deaconess Hospital with complaint of pain in the back and neck. No word, this afternoon, of his condition.
