EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police have arrested 24-year-old Shyra Allen on a charge she operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated.  They say she was involved in an early Sunday morning fight at the Fast Break gas station at Morgan and Oak Hill.

As officers arrived at the fight around 3 a.m., Allen was leaving the scene in a minivan.

She failed to stop at the posted stop sign at Kelsey and Eichel, and, as a result, collided with a marked Evansville Patrol car.

The wreck caused minor damage to both vehicles.

During the accident investigation, police say they determined Allen was intoxicated. They add that she was also driving on a suspended license with a prior conviction, and did not have proof of valid insurance.

As officers tried to complete the accident investigation, Allen was uncooperative and tried to walk away several times.

Police arrested Allen for OMVWI-refusal, Driving While License Suspended with a Prior Conviction, and Operating Without Proof of Valid Insurance.
