LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A woman's daughter was arrested after she allegedly beat up her mother and kept her locked in a bathroom against her will.

According to a police report filed Wednesday, Crystal Davis demanded money and prescription pills from her mother. When her mother refused Davis struck her multiple times with a closed fist.

Davis thought she heard someone outside of the door and forced her mother into a bathroom. Her mother asked to leave several times but was denied by Davis for an extended period of time.

Davis' mother was able to fight her way out of the bathroom. Afraid for another attack she gave Davis 40 prescription Tylenol #3's and then went to the bank with Davis to withdraw $50 from her account.

Davis left after the bank and police were called. Her mother suffered pain and bruises to her arms and shoulder.

Davis is being charged with robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
