Evansville Police have made 3 arrests in an Armed Robbery that occurred around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

A man named Javad Carter told officers he was robbed by two men while he was walking near the intersection of Linwood and Adams.

He said one of the men was armed with a revolver while the other acted as a lookout. The men took several items from Carter and then fled in a vehicle.

Officers believe they stopped the "get-away car" a few minutes later near Culver and SE 2nd.  Inside they say they found a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, and the items taken during the robbery.

Police arrested both on armed robbery charges. The 17 year old was identified as Antonio Adams. He was charged as an adult and placed in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

The 15-year-old was charged as a juvenile and was placed at the Youth Care Center. He may be waived to adult court after his initial hearing in juvenile court.

The third suspect was located at his home. He was identified as 17 year old Dugniqio Forest. He was also charged as an adult and placed in the Vanderburgh County Jail.

The driver, Antonio Adams, also faces charges of possession of marijuana and driving without ever receiving a license.

Police say the area where the robbery occurred has been the scene of numerous crimes over the last 12-18 months. Many of the crimes have been tied into criminal gang activity.
