Evansville Police investigate overnight Jeep part thefts

Evansville Police are investigating two separate thefts of Jeep Wrangler parts that occurred in the overnight hours between June 5th and 6th.

One victim reported the doors were stolen off of her 2002 Jeep while it was parked near the Fox and Hound Pub on Evansville's east side. The theft happened around midnight on June 5th.

A second victim reported the dashboard was stolen out of his 2000 Jeep in the 1000 block of S. St. James Blvd. A GPS was also taken during that theft. The victim said the theft happened in the overnight hours of June 5th into June 6th.

Police believe the thefts are related. Anyone with information on these thefts is asked to call 436-7979.

    A Spencer County man is dead after a crash in Crawford County. State troopers were called to State Road 37 near Governors Trace Road shortly after noon on Tuesday. We're told 41-year-old Eric Allen, of Lamar, and 58-year-old Randall Thewes, of Celestine, collided head-on. The coroner pronounced Eric Allen dead on the scene. Thewes was taken to a Perry County hospital by ambulance. He was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation.&nbs...

    The Daviess county sheriff's office has found their person of interest in the murder of Casey Embry last weekend. The sheriff's office had been looking for Phillip Hobdy for over a week and were able to arrest him yesterday.
