Warrick County Habitat for Humanity looking for qualified families

Posted: Updated:
WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) -

In Warrick County, Habitat for Humanity is looking for qualified families to build their own home.

It's through the USDA Self-Help Housing Program. To qualify, you must have a steady income, decent or repairable credit, and at least three active credit accounts.

Workers at Habitat say through this program, all of the families involved pitch in with the building process.

"That provides the building team they need and the manpower to get those houses done. It's based on the old Amish barn-building stereotype that I can't build my barn and you can't build your barn, but if we work together, we can build all of us a barn," said official for Warrick County Habitat for Humanity.

You can apply at the Habitat office on Telephone Road in Chandler.
