VANDERBURGH CO., IN (WFIE) -

Late Saturday night and early Sunday morning, Indiana State Police, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office and Evansville Police conducted a sobriety checkpoint on SR 62 east of I-164.

Between 11:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m., officers checked 66 drivers that passed through the checkpoint and didn't find any impaired drivers.

"Twelve of the drivers submitted to field sobriety tests and passed," said Sergeant Tom Weber.

Officers did arrest 25-year-old Tiffani Lowe of Chandler, after they found she was in possession of marijuana.

A saturation patrol was conducted in the area of the checkpoint location and officers arrested 39-year-old Tracy King of Evansville, for driving while intoxicated.

Lowe and King were both taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where they are currently being held on bond.

Indiana State Police say they are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints.
