LONGVIEW, WA (KPTV) -

The incredible catch from a Lower Columbia College outfielder is being highlighted everywhere from ESPN Sportscenter to Yahoo! Sports.

Derrick Salberg's catch kept the LCC Red Devils alive in the team's post-season tournament.

The day after the catch, the Longview Daily News published a photo of the amazing grab above the headline "Saved by Salberg."

LCC's athletic department has since received so many media requests that they've called for a news conference Wednesday afternoon so media can interview him.

Seemingly every sports site on the internet has posted video showing the catch. An NBCSports.com post even asked whether it's the greatest game-ending baseball catch ever.

Currently, Salberg's catch is trailing another impressive catch as the top vote-getter in ESPN SportsNation's poll.

Salberg is an LCC freshman. He graduated from Kelso High School.
