It is not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It is the Veteran.
Not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the Veteran.
Not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the Veteran.
Not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble. It is the Veteran.
Not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the Veteran.
Not the politician who has given us the right to vote. It is the Veteran.

I ask that you honor our veterans this Memorial Day weekend. Fly an American flag at your home. Make it a point to send an e-mail, phone call or Facebook message to a veteran and thank them for their service. Say a prayer for our men that are currently fighting over seas, and the ones that will be deployed in the future. Finally, 14 News is honored to broadcast the National Memorial Day Parade live from Constitution Avenue in Washington DC. It's the largest Memorial Day parade , honoring our fallen hero's throughout history.
