INDIANA (WFIE) -
Indiana State Police detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division at the Putnamville Post are currently investigating a female juvenile who walked away from a Vigo County treatment facility at 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 20.
14-year-old Brittanie Ann Turner Dike is 5'04", 127 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt and blue jeans and walking southwest from the Gibault Children's Services facility located at 6301 South US 41, Terre Haute. She may have been spotted in recent days in the Sullivan, Indiana area.
Indiana State Police detectives and the Dike family are very concerned for her medical well being, as Brittanie has significant medical and psychological issues which require medication. ISP investigators and the Dike family believe she does not currently have those medications in her possession.
Brittanie's father lives in Bloomington, Indiana and she has an uncle who resides in Lawrence County, Indiana. The Dike family is also currently searching for her and following up on any leads.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to call Indiana State Police detective Tony Guinn at 765-653-4114 or if they believe they have spotted Brittanie, call their local law enforcement agency immediately.
While it remains the policy of the Indiana State Police to not publicize routine runaway complaints, department personnel believe this case merits a proactive approach due the medical issues in question. Therefore, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
