An undercover operation by Madisonville Police Department has resulted in a large amount of synthetic drugs off the streets.
On April 13, 2012, two days after the signing of House Bill 481 which bans all synthetic drugs in Kentucky, the Madisonville Police Department Vice Narcotics Unit launched the undercover operation.
The operation resulted in multiple search warrants executed at Foodtown at 275 West Center Street.
The department says approximately $25,000.00 of illegal synthetics were recovered and removed from distribution.
In addition, a large sum of currency was recovered.
No word on any arrests as a result of this operation.
