Tri-state caffeine withdrawal as Starbucks temporarily close

Several Starbucks around the Tri-state were closed Wednesday morning leaving customers confused and without their morning coffee or their afternoon pick-me-up.

The closures came without warning, and without signs on the stores explaining the issue.

14 News talked to a spokesperson for Starbucks to find out what happened.

He told us several locations were closed for maintenance work on their water filtration system. They were hoping to finish overnight but some had to remain closed this morning.

We're told most of the stores are now back open.
