EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -
The City of Evansville is giving you a chance to learn about two major road projects and offer comments during two informal public information meetings.
One is set for later today. The other will be Thursday.
One of those projects is at Green River Road and Lincoln Avenue where most of us know there is already construction going on , but this meeting is about future work.
The proposed work will begin at Green River and Lincoln and continue east to Newburgh Road.
A few of the proposed improvements along this stretch are the addition of concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and storm sewers. Also, wider through-lanes to accommodate bicyclists.
This work is tentatively scheduled for 2015.
It won't overlap with the construction currently going on.
That meeting is tonight from 5:30 to 6:30 at McCollough Branch Library.
The city says this is the first of many opportunities to comment on the proposed improvements.
There's a second meeting on Thursday focusing on a different road project.
That meeting will talk about plans for a project at Oak Hill Road between Pigeon Creek and Lynch Road.
That's Thursday from 5:30-6:30 at Oaklyn Branch Library.
The public is welcome to attend to learn more about the projects and bring any questions or concerns.
